Biographical information:

Since school, I've been... Taught school for over 30 years. Retired now. Coach of the Junior Sun Devil Divers for over 20 years... Retired from this, also. Married for 48 years to Ward OConnell. Lived in California, Connecticut and currently live in Tempe, Arizona.

My family: My husband, Ward, passed away August 25, 2009.

Life experiences: I would have to say that the internet has opened up a whole new world for me. I wish we had it available, when we were kids.

My favorite things in school: You all, probably just remember me as being in the swimming pool all the time, practicing my swimming and diving. That was all I was interested in back in the olden days..lol.

My favorite things now: I am finding many great life experiences, since retiring from teaching and coaching. I am doing things, I would never have thought I would be interested in, previously. What? 1. NIA (check it out..there is a new book out on it...dancing, martial arts and healing arts,all rolled into one. 2. Tons of craft things like painting, card making, journaling, altered books. 3. Involved in politics...I am a precinct leader for my neighborhood and a strong Democrat. 4. I am a Valley Big Sister. What is my greatest life experience?? Everything..I love life.

My favorite books, movies and music: Music: Eagles, Simon and Garfunkel, Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson Books: Everything political. I have and have read. You name it, I read it. I am an avid fan of Deepak Chopra. "The Book Of Secrets" is great. Movies: I think most of the movies today are stupid. I hardly ever go to the movies nowadays.
